Work with me
The Nordic Kitchen is a food and lifestyle blog written by me, Sofia. I started blogging in 2014 and moved around between different blogging platforms before I relaunched my blog and website in 2017. Since then I’ve worked hard to build an online space that is filled with plant-based recipes, travel stories and updates from my life in Sweden.
I’ve always been very passionate about food and how it can be used to promote health. For five years I studied medical biology and nutrition at the university, and I knew I wanted to inspire people to eat healthy in a fun and creative way. My number one interest is and has always been photography and when I started to photograph food and share the photos and recipes with others I just knew that ”this is my thing”.
My vision is to create simple recipes that are full of nutrients, taste great and that can be used by anyone. Cooking and eating should be fun, a moment of joy. I want my recipes to inspire people and spark their creativity.
I photograph only in natural light and my style can best be described as moody with a lot of contrast and depth in the pictures.
When I relaunched my blog in January 2017, I also started my own business and began freelancing as a recipe creator, food stylist, and photographer. I’ve worked with brands like H&M, Garant, Maria Åkerberg, Pukka, Viva Vin & Mat, and Glutenfri Matlust.
In 2017 The Nordic Kitchen was nominated for Best Food Photography in the Swedish Food Blog Awards. In 2018 my blog was named one of the top 60 Scandinavian blogs, all categories. I also won a photography contest arranged by the Swedish food magazine Vegourmet, and my winning photo was shown at an art exhibition in Sweden.
In October 2018, my blog was once again nominated in the Swedish Food Blog Awards, this time for The Grand Food Blog Award.
I work with both Swedish and international businesses, and I do everything from sponsored posts and freelance work for magazines and websites to classic photography work.
When it comes to sponsored posts, I only work with companies that share the same vision as The Nordic Kitchen. It’s important that I can support the company to a 100% and that the product/service is of value to my followers. This helps me stay true to my followers, but it also allows the client to show their product to a targeted audience.
I believe that communication is key and that both you and me are clear about our expectations and goals for the collaboration before we start working. I will put a lot of effort into creating great content that will be valuable to you and your company. And as long as we enjoy working together, I’m always interested in long-term collaborations.
My business is registered for VAT (moms) and corporate income (F-skatt). My opinion can never be bought and my sponsored posts will always begin with the following text:
This is a sponsored collaboration with company X.
If you have an idea for a collaboration, a request for freelance work or any questions, feel free to contact me so that we can discuss the details.
Or use the contact form here on the website.
You can also contact me via my agency, Foodies & Brands.
I don’t accept products as payment for collaborations, but you can always send me a press gift, as long as the products are relevant to me and this blog. However, sending me press gifts does not guarantee exposure on the website or on my social channels, simply because I haven’t been paid to promote the products and hence no contract exists between me and the company. I also do not take responsibility for products sent without prior agreement.
I’m supporting Influencers of Sweden and their work to create an ethical blog business. I disclose all my sponsored posts and I, of course, follow the Swedish Marketing Act.
