Wild strawberries, countryside walks and evening swims

It has indeed been very silent here lately. Much, of course, because the birth of our second son, William, in May <3 We have spent lots of time getting to know our new family member, and watching Adam become the most wonderful big brother. It has been the most lovely three months, but I have to admit that I’ve never been drinking this much coffee in my life, and probably never slept this little XD.

We have spent lots of time picking wild strawberries, taking long walks and biking with Adam. We have enjoyed evening swims when both kids have been sleeping and we’ve stayed up too long talking and enjoying the views. There has been (and is) laundry mountains, tantrums, dirty floors, and bus loads of diapers but we always try to see things from the bright side and lower our expectations. We also live by the premise that if your kids go to bed with dirty feet, messy hair and a smile on their face – it has been a good day. So, that’s what we try to accomplish every day. Yes, it means putting your own interests aside, but it’s so worth it! We still try to give each other a little ”me-time” every day to workout, sleep, or just sit and stare into a wall. However, most of the time we have our hands full and we’re loving it 🙂

Like every parent, I mostly take photos of my kids, but here are a few pictures from the last weeks. I will try to share some new recipes and stories soon!

Xx,
Sofia
